| Occupational Therapy - OT focuses on activities and training that promote independence with managing day to day living tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing and eating skills.
Physical Therapy - PT includes strengthening and retraining that will allow patients to become more independent with transfer techniques, walking, using prosthetics, and mobility within the facility, home and community.
Speech Therapy - Speech therapy evaluates resident's understanding and use of language, speech production, voice and swallowing ability. |
The treatment plans and programs of all the different therapies may include activities that focus on any of the following areas and more:
- Pain management
- Urinary incontinence
- Wound care
- Balance and falls management/prevention
- Wheelchair positioning
- Restoring strength and mobility
- Cognitive abilities/aphasia
- Swallowing/dysphagia
- Improving safety
- Rehab dining
